The juvenile suspect was also linked to another attempted murder case registered at the Jama Masjid police station. The case first came to light on April 5 when police received a report from LNJP Hospital about a critically injured 17-year-old resident of Nangloi.
Multiple attempts to locate the suspect proved futile until police tracked his mobile number to Haridwar, Uttarakhand, where he was arrested on April 29. The boy has admitted to his involvement in the Red Fort attack, blaming his actions on a drug addiction.
