Tensions Escalate with Explosions in Punjab: Suspicions of ISI Involvement

Recent back-to-back explosions in Punjab, including one near the army cantonment boundary in Amritsar's Khasa and another in Jalandhar, have escalated regional tensions. The Punjab Director General of Police (DGP), Gaurav Yadav, suspects involvement by Pakistan's ISI, aiming to disrupt stability and craft a false narrative of unrest in the state.

Despite the blasts causing no injuries, the incidents triggered concern and condemnation from opposition parties, who labeled them as attempts to destabilize Punjab. Investigations are underway, with authorities exploring all angles, including potential links to Operation Sindoor's anniversary, a notable event in the region.

Several teams are actively analysing forensic evidence, reviewing CCTV footage, and conducting phone record analyses to track those involved. While no group has claimed responsibility for the Amritsar incident, the Khalistan Liberation Army has allegedly taken credit for the Jalandhar blast, a claim currently under verification.
