New Witness Centre: Safeguarding Voices in Courtrooms

In a significant move towards inclusive justice delivery, Chief Justice Arun Palli of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh inaugurated a Vulnerable Witness Deposition Centre on Wednesday.

This facility aims to ensure a child-friendly and victim-sensitive environment to prevent secondary victimization during court procedures.

The centre, equipped with modern amenities such as live-link video conferencing and child-friendly infrastructure, underscores the judiciary's commitment to fair trials and safeguarding the dignity of vulnerable witnesses.
