Russia Warns of Armenia's Shift to EU Influence

Russia's Foreign Ministry has expressed concerns over Armenia being influenced by the European Union, suggesting increasing tensions between the two countries. According to Maria Zakharova, the ministry's spokeswoman, Armenia's leadership is aligning with what are seen as aggressive Euro-Atlantic standards.

In a statement on Thursday, Russia's Foreign Ministry accused Armenia of being pulled into the European Union's 'anti-Russian orbit'.

The remark from the ministry's spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova, comes amid escalating tensions between the two nations, who were once closely allied.

Zakharova noted that Armenia, with its leadership's approval, is embracing what she termed as 'aggressive Euro-Atlantic standards'.
