Gurugram police raid two nightclubs, arrest club owner

Gurugram police raided two nightclubs in Sector 66 and Sector 58 on Saturday, arresting a club owner for possessing illegal liquor at the Sector 66 club, police said. Sector 65 police station registered an FIR and arrested the club owner, Udit Bansal, a resident of Delhis Uttam Nagar.

Gurugram police raided two nightclubs in Sector 66 and Sector 58 on Saturday, arresting a club owner for possessing illegal liquor at the Sector 66 club, police said. Police took action against the Sector 58 club for allegedly playing loud music beyond permitted hours and seized an amplifier and two sound speakers, they added. According to police, a team first raided the Elite club in Sector 66 in the early hours of Saturday. Police found illegal liquor, including 4 bottles of whisky and 25 bottles of beer. The club manager could not provide a license or permit for the liquor, they said. Sector 65 police station registered an FIR and arrested the club owner, Udit Bansal, a resident of Delhi's Uttam Nagar. Police said they raided the Where Else bar in Sector 58, where a DJ was playing at a loud volume, and the bar owner did not produce any valid license/permission regarding the loud volume. Police said an FIR was registered against the bar owner, Anuj, a resident of Gurugram, under Section 5/15 of the Environment Protection Act and Section 152 of the BNSS.
