Punjab Assembly member Baba Falbous Christopher highlighted the lack of development funds in the 2025-26 budget for churches and temples. He urged significant financial support for these projects in the next fiscal year.
Hindu lawmaker Basro Jee echoed these concerns, noting the absence of meaningful welfare projects for Hindus in south Punjab. Amid concerns over basic facilities, the Punjab Assembly Speaker emphasized prioritizing essential needs for minority communities.
