Panic has enveloped parts of northwest Delhi amid reports of a supposed water purifier mechanic linked to attempted assaults and robberies in Keshav Puram and Pitampura. Residents claim the unidentified man posed as a repair worker, gaining access to homes under false pretenses.

A case has been lodged under sections 333 and 351(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Keshav Puram police station for house trespass and criminal intimidation. Police are rigorously scrutinizing CCTV footage and recorded testimonies to establish his identity. Dedicated teams are actively searching for the accused.

On May 8, a senior citizen foiled an attack, prompting widespread social media outrage. Comparisons have been drawn to a similar crime in Maurya Enclave involving an armed intrusion and theft. Despite evidence and vigilant community efforts, the suspect, potentially identified as Ajay Bagga, remains at large. Investigation continues.
