The Punjab government, led by Bhagwant Mann, has reallocated the roles of arrested Cabinet Minister Sanjeev Arora among other ministers. This action follows the Enforcement Directorate's apprehension of Arora in relation to a GST fraud case.
Aman Arora, previously tasked with new and renewable energy, now also manages the industries and commerce department. Harjot Singh Bains takes on the local government department alongside his role in education. Meanwhile, Tarunpreet Singh Sond, initially responsible for rural development, adds the power portfolio to his responsibilities.
ED arrested Arora, who is embroiled in this Rs 100 crore money laundering case, reportedly linked to his connections with certain entities. Despite the AAP's claim of political motivations behind Arora's arrest, Hampton Sky Realty Limited, associated with him, has pledged cooperation with legal processes.
