Blast in Pakistan's Naurang Bazar Sparks Tensions With Afghanistan
A deadly explosion at Naurang Bazar in northwestern Pakistan killed nine people and injured dozens, escalating tensions with Afghanistan. The attack follows recent violence in Bannu district, prompting Pakistan to blame Afghan-based militants, although the Taliban refutes these claims. Emergency services continue to respond to the crisis.
A devastating explosion at Naurang Bazar, a busy market in northwestern Pakistan, has claimed the lives of nine people and injured several others, according to emergency services. This incident, occurring on Tuesday, has further strained Pakistan's relations with neighboring Afghanistan.
The blast, which triggered chaos and prompted immediate emergency response, comes shortly after a deadly car bombing and ambush in Bannu district that resulted in the deaths of 15 police officers. Pakistan has pointed fingers at Afghanistan-based militants for the recent surge in violence.
Despite Pakistan's accusations, the Afghan Taliban government has refused to comment on the allegations, labeling the issue as an internal matter for Pakistan. The latest attacks are reminiscent of the fierce conflict between the two countries earlier this year, following Pakistan's airstrikes targeting militant hideouts in Kabul.
