Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar's son, Bhageerath, has approached the Telangana High Court to seek anticipatory bail following allegations of sexual harassment under the POCSO Act.
The charges arose from a complaint by the mother of a 17-year-old girl, alleging Bhageerath's involvement with her daughter, and subsequently, the investigation has been intensified. Bhageerath denies the allegations, claiming extortion and intimidation by the girl's family.
Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy demanded quick action, prompting a visit to the Pet Basheerabad police station by Deputy Commissioner Ritiraj to oversee the ongoing investigation.
