Police successfully apprehended a notorious figure, Avneet Singh, during a checkpoint operation near Railway Pul Narwal on Tuesday. The arrest yielded a commercial quantity of a heroin-like substance and an illegal firearm.
Authorities encountered the suspect, who showed suspicious behavior and attempted to evade law enforcement officers. Upon searching, they discovered 266.35 grams of drugs, polythene packets, and a Glock pistol with live ammunition.
Singh, lacking valid documentation or explanation, remains implicated in 17 criminal cases involving drug and arms offenses. The Jammu Police emphasize their dedication to eliminating drug-related crimes while urging the community to aid in reporting suspicious activities.
