Dawn Encounter: Assam Rifles Neutralize NSCN Threat

In Changlang, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam Rifles killed two NSCN cadres during an operation against insurgents suspected of extortion. Following gunfire, authorities recovered weapons and identified the deceased. A case has been lodged under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, and Arms Act, as investigations proceed.

Assam Rifles launched a counter-insurgency operation in Changlang district, Arunachal Pradesh, following intelligence inputs regarding NSCN cadres involved in extortion activities. The operation led to an exchange of fire with insurgents.

Security forces neutralized two armed cadres, Umkong and Sgt Enu, and recovered a stockpile of weapons, including rifles and grenades.
