Controversial Deportation Flights: Ukraine Via Poland Under Scrutiny

Amnesty International and Human Rights First have issued a strong plea to Poland, urging an end to the country’s support for U.S.-led deportation flights that route Ukrainian nationals via Polish territory.

The two human rights organizations expressed grave concerns that these operations could infringe upon international law, given the ongoing military conflict in Ukraine.

At least two U.S. deportation flights operated in November 2025 and March 2026, initiating from Phoenix, Arizona, and landing in Poland before sending over 50 Ukrainians back to their home country amid growing instability.
