Mystery Unfolds: Woman's Burnt Body Found in Forest

A partially burnt body of a woman was discovered on Wednesday morning in a forest near the police battalion camp close to Dhaula Kuan village, located along the Chandigarh-Dehradun Highway in Himachal Pradesh's Sirmour district.
Local residents found the body in the dense forest of the Karaunde Wali Ghati area under Poanta subdivision and reported it to the authorities. Police have launched an investigation as the identity of the deceased remains unclear.
DSP Manvendra Thakur stated that the details would be clearer following forensic analysis and the post-mortem report. Preliminary findings suggest attempts to destroy identifying features by burning the body. Police are examining vehicle involvement and reviewing CCTV footage for leads.
