Delhi Police successfully arrested Harpreet Singh, a proclaimed offender who had evaded capture for seven years, near Dilshad Garden Metro Station. The arrest followed detailed intelligence gathering and technical surveillance operations.
Singh, originally from Bathinda, Punjab, became a wanted figure after being implicated under the NDPS Act in 2018. He was initially released on bail in 2019, but his subsequent disappearance led to a warrant for his arrest in 2020.
To avoid detection, Singh frequently changed his location and operated under a concealed identity, working in various parts of Delhi-NCR. His capture marks the end of an extensive manhunt spanning several years.
