In a tragic turn of events, a 33-year-old senior account executive at a private company in Sector 65 died by suicide on Wednesday. Police reports indicate that she jumped from her office building's fifth floor while on a phone call.
The deceased, identified as Jagriti Bari Singhal, originally from Dehradun, was earning an annual salary of Rs 12 lakh. According to the family, she faced harassment from her husband and in-laws, which they claim led to her tragic death.
The police have registered an FIR for abetment to suicide against her husband, Amit Singhal, a Chartered Accountant, who has been arrested. Investigations reveal that Singhal had been facing mental and physical abuse since her marriage in November 2023.
