In a bid to ensure accuracy and inclusiveness of the electoral rolls, Delhi has commenced its Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. Starting June 30, booth-level officers (BLOs) will conduct rigorous door-to-door verifications to update voter details. Voters have the option to submit their enumeration forms online.

The initiative is a concerted effort involving political parties to train booth-level agents (BLAs) across 13,000 polling booths. The main aim is to ensure all eligible citizens are documented accurately, preventing omissions and incorrect inclusions in the electoral roll. This exercise targets all voters aged 18 and above by October 1.

The extensive operation, which echoes a similar activity from 2002, will publish the draft electoral roll by August 5, with the final list released on October 7. The voter verification drive is crucial as Delhi prepares for its next electoral phase, ensuring clear and accessible voting information for all its residents.
