Pandah Panchayat Officer Suspended Over Harassment Charges

The Block Development Officer of Pandah panchayat has been suspended for allegedly harassing a female subordinate and sending obscene messages. An inquiry led by the Juvenile Justice Board confirmed the allegations, leading to disciplinary actions by the state government.

The Block Development Officer (BDO) of Pandah panchayat was suspended for alleged harassment and sending indecent messages to a female employee, a senior official reported.

The suspension order, executed by the state government on Saturday, followed a complaint by the woman alleging inappropriate WhatsApp conversations with BDO Shravan Kumar Gupta.

The investigation, conducted by an eight-member panel led by Nandita of the Juvenile Justice Board, corroborated the complaint, prompting immediate suspension and departmental review.
