Major Myanmar-Based Drug Kingpin Nabbed: A Blow to Cross-Border Trafficking

A Myanmar-based drug trafficker, Thancintuang alias Chintuang, was arrested in Delhi by the NCB. Key associates and financial channels linked to the syndicate were also apprehended.

A significant arrest by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has been made in the battle against transnational drug trafficking networks. A Myanmar-based drug trafficker, Thancintuang, was detained on Saturday in Delhi, marking a major breakthrough in ongoing investigations.

Thancintuang, also known as Chintuang, is accused of running a large narcotics operation along the India-Myanmar corridor, primarily dealing in methamphetamine and heroin. His arrest follows a series of coordinated efforts involving surveillance and intelligence operations targeting cross-border trafficking routes.

The NCB's crackdown has exposed a web of trafficking syndicates, uncovering connections to several cases registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Financial investigations led to the freezing of illicit profits and bank accounts associated with this vast network, highlighting the extensive infrastructure behind this operation.
