USD Exchange Fraud Leaves Man Duped in Navi Mumbai
A man from Navi Mumbai was reportedly swindled out of Rs 2 lakh by three individuals in a fake US dollar exchange scam. The scam was executed by showing the victim fake currency bundles, leading to a police investigation under charges of cheating.

A 35-year-old man from Navi Mumbai has been allegedly swindled out of Rs 2 lakh in a fraudulent US dollar exchange scheme, according to local police.
The victim, residing in Dombivli, was approached by one of the three accused who claimed that his relative needed to exchange USD. The encounter took place near a hospital in Kalamboli, where the suspect presented bundles appearing to contain authentic US currency.
Convinced of the notes' authenticity, the victim handed over Rs 2 lakh in cash, only to realize later that he had been deceived with paper rolls and soap bars disguised as dollar bundles. A complaint has been filed, and the police are conducting an investigation under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
