The incident occurred in the Palghar district as an Eicher tempo, carrying over 50 passengers, collided with a speeding container truck en route to an engagement ceremony.

Fadnavis extended heartfelt condolences and assured financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh for the families of the deceased, while also keeping a close check on rescue and medical efforts for the injured.
