Mandatory e-KYC for Ration Cardholders: Puducherry's New Directive

Puducherry's Director of Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Muthu Meena, has mandated the completion of the e-KYC process for all ration card beneficiaries in the union territory without delay.
This initiative, stemming from Supreme Court directives, aims to ensure that government welfare schemes and subsidies reach only the eligible recipients.
The e-KYC registration, conducted through Common Service Centres (CSCs), is underway, and families are urged to complete this free service using their ration and Aadhaar cards.
