UPDATE 1-NATO jet shoots down drone in Estonia, news website Delfi reports

A ​NATO military ‌jet on Tuesday ​shot down a drone of apparent ‌Ukrainian origin in Estonia, the Baltic country's Defence Minister Hanno Pevkur told the Delfi news ‌website, the latest in a ‌series of airspace violations in the region bordering Russia.

Since March, several Ukrainian military drones ⁠have ​strayed into the ⁠airspace of NATO members Finland, Latvia, Lithuania ⁠and Estonia, which all border Russia, and ​the Latvian government last week resigned over ⁠its handling of the incursions. NATO did ⁠not ​immediately reply to a request for comment.
