Iran shoots down an Israeli surveillance drone, news agency says

​The Iranian ‌army downed ​an Israeli spying and ‌surveillance drone in the Hormozgan province, Iran's Mehr ‌news agency reported ‌on Sunday, as expectations rose that a memorandum ⁠of ​understanding ⁠regarding a peace deal between ⁠Iran and the ​U.S. could be imminent.

The ⁠wreckage of a shattered ⁠Orbiter ​drone, an Israeli product, was discovered ⁠in cooperation with Iranian ⁠naval forces, ⁠the agency said.
