Punjab's Counter Intelligence Busts Cross-Border Arms Trafficking Ring

In a significant breakthrough, Punjab Police's Counter Intelligence wing in Ferozepur has dismantled an illegal arms trafficking module. The operation led to the arrest of Lakhwinder Singh, who is believed to be a pivotal weapon supplier.

Authorities seized five sophisticated Glock pistols and four live cartridges from Singh's possession. Preliminary probes reveal the firearms had been smuggled into India through cross-border channels, intended for distribution among criminal networks.

Further investigations are ongoing to identify and capture other operatives linked to this network. A case has been lodged under relevant sections of the Arms Act at Kulgarhi Police Station.
