The Financial Times reports a decline in the number of donor countries following Babis's entry into office, dropping to nine contributors. In response to Reuters, the ministry confirmed that 500,000 rounds have been delivered in 2026, consistent with last year's supply. The timeline indicates these deliveries result from pre-existing contracts.

Notably, the initiative combines efforts from foreign donors like Denmark, the Netherlands, and Germany, alongside Czech arms traders. Funding continues from frozen Russian assets via the European Commission, despite Babis's refusal for further national contributions. The increasing costs of extended-range artillery pose additional challenges for the initiative.
