Two Arrested in Gurugram SIM Box Fraud Operation

Manoj and Tamanna were apprehended in Gurugram for allegedly conducting investment scams using SIM boxes, disguising calls, and amassing nearly Rs 7 lakh. Police recovered equipment during a raid, linking them to 21 fraud cases.

Authorities in Gurugram arrested two individuals, including a Dubai resident named Tamanna, accused of orchestrating an investment scam using SIM box technology. This operation aimed to manipulate domestic call appearances for fraudulent purposes.

The police coordinated a strategic raid on April 2 at an office in Emerald Plaza, Gurugram Sector 65, revealing their operation. The suspects reportedly utilised this technology to facilitate scams, extracting approximately Rs 7 lakh. As evidence, the police seized four SIM boxes and network equipment.

The ongoing investigation has linked them to 21 cyber fraud complaints across various states. Gurugram Police are interrogating the accused and will proceed with further legal measures.
