Syrian Suspect Arrested in Attack on Tourist at Berlin's Holocaust Memorial

German authorities have detained a Syrian national on charges of aiding an attempted murder at Berlin's Holocaust Memorial last year, as reported by prosecutors on Wednesday.

The arrest follows a March sentencing of Syrian refugee Wassim Al M., who received a 13-year prison term for trying to kill a tourist in an antisemitic attack.

Prosecutors allege that the suspect, Khalaf A., was complicit in the crime, encouraging Wassim Al M. before he stabbed a Spanish tourist at the site, leaving them with life-threatening injuries.
