A police team from the UP Dial 112 service faced an alleged assault while intervening in a village dispute on Monday night, officials reported. The altercation occurred in Piyari Ka Purwa village, according to Station House Officer Anju Mishra.

The incident involved head constable Surendra Kushwaha and his colleagues, who arrived at the village following reports of a conflict between groups led by Mohammad Azad Ahmad and Jimratan. Despite attempts to calm the situation, Jimratan reportedly escalated tensions by bringing relatives to confront the officers.

The group allegedly attacked the police team, delivering abuse and attempting to damage their vehicle. As locals began to gather, the aggressors fled, leaving the authorities to pursue legal action through a FIR and subsequent raids to locate the suspects.
