Kerala Politicians Clash Over ED Searches Linked to Former CM's Daughter

Ramesh Chennithala, Kerala's Home Minister, dismissed allegations suggesting recent enforcement actions were part of a coordinated effort between Congress and BJP. Instead, he implied that the Communist Party of India (Marxist) had developed a rapport with the BJP, which failed to protect them from the Enforcement Directorate (ED)'s scrutiny.

Colleague K Muraleedharan echoed skepticism about the ED, indicating the party's lack of confidence in its investigations and readiness for similar actions. He questioned public outrage supposedly meant to damage government assets under the pretense of supporting Pinarayi Vijayan. Despite CPI(M)'s claims of political motivation behind the raids, Chennithala maintained these were uninformed assumptions without grounding in official notice or assistance from Kerala's police.
