Uttar Pradesh CM Emphasizes High Standards for Police Housing Projects
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has called for stringent adherence to quality and schedules in police housing construction projects in Uttar Pradesh, underlining the need for modern infrastructure to boost police efficiency. Regular assessments and third-party audits are directed to ensure project integrity and capability enhancement.

Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, stressed the importance of maintaining both quality and timeliness in police housing projects during a review session of the Uttar Pradesh Police Housing Corporation. He highlighted that upgraded facilities can significantly enhance the efficacy and morale of the police force.
The corporation is active across all 75 districts in Uttar Pradesh, with 233 ongoing construction activities overseen by six units. With the aim of completing projects like multi-storey barracks, police stations, and fire stations, 221 works are on track. Since 2023, 1586 projects have been concluded, costing approximately Rs 1,104 crore.
Adityanath emphasized the essential nature of robust infrastructure for modern policing, insisting that all projects conform to high technical standards. Initiatives such as third-party inspections and mobile app-based monitoring are set to ensure adherence to quality.
The corporation has maintained a profit, reporting earnings of Rs 11.14 crore for the fiscal year 2025-26 so far. Adityanath ordered regular reviews and directed that vacant positions be filled on merit, with a focus on developing infrastructure that meets contemporary policing needs.
