Kenneth Iwamasa, who served as the personal assistant to the late 'Friends' star Matthew Perry, was sentenced to three years and five months in prison for his central role in Perry's tragic death from a ketamine overdose. This sentencing concluded a prolonged investigation following Perry's death in October 2023 at age 54.

Iwamasa, aged 60, also received a two-year probation period and a USD 10,000 fine. The court found that he enabled the actor's substance misuse by illegally obtaining ketamine and administering the fatal dose, though Judge Sherilyn Peace Garnett noted no malicious intent. Iwamasa expressed deep regret during sentencing, acknowledging his actions' consequences.
