Reports indicate that Annapurna Mandal and her son Ananta were allegedly confined, physically assaulted, and forced into compliance during their custody. This follows a domestic complaint filed by Annapurna's husband. The incident reportedly left the duo injured, necessitating medical attention. The inspector's suspension was announced with plans for an in-depth disciplinary review.
