The U.S. Embassy in Kyiv has confirmed its continued operation amid recent warnings from Russia advising diplomats and foreigners to leave the Ukrainian capital. In response to reports that the U.S. Embassy had left Kyiv, the embassy has asserted that its operations remain unchanged and such reports are inaccurate.

On Thursday, some Ukrainian media, alongside European Union foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas, suggested that the United States had evacuated its embassy. However, the U.S. Embassy in a statement on X clarified that the embassy is open and functional.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy's communications adviser, Dmytro Lytvyn, acknowledged hearing reports of diplomatic departures but expressed gratitude to those who continue their work in supporting Ukraine. Meanwhile, the acting U.S. ambassador to Kyiv, Julie Davis, was noted to be in Lviv for a weekend event.
