Peaceful Eid-ul-Azha Celebrations Amid Tight Security in UP Districts
In the districts of Sambhal, Amethi, and Azamgarh, Eid-ul-Azha prayers were conducted without any disruptions. Authorities ensured security using drones, with over 1,600 locations seeing festivities unfold peacefully.

Eid-ul-Azha prayers took place peacefully in Uttar Pradesh's Sambhal, Amethi, and Azamgarh districts. Adequate security measures, including the use of drones, were implemented to ensure a smooth observance of the festival on Thursday.
In Sambhal, prayers were conducted at key religious sites such as the Shahi Jama Masjid and Kamalpur Sarai in Hayatnagar. District Magistrate Ankit Khandelwal confirmed that prayers occurred in an orderly manner at 828 mosques and Eidgahs. The area was divided into five zones with 16 sectors for efficient security management.
Similar arrangements were reported in Amethi, where 154 Eidgahs saw congregational prayers under strict surveillance. Police personnel utilized drones for enhanced monitoring in sensitive areas.
Meanwhile, in Azamgarh, the celebrations were observed at 704 venues including 328 Eidgahs. District officials praised the peaceful conclusion of the event, as commanded by government guidelines. Law enforcement reassured the public about the absence of any disturbances during the festival.
