The Calcutta High Court has directed the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to submit a report on its ongoing investigation related to the arrest of Sujit Bose, a Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader and former minister in West Bengal.
Bose was taken into custody on May 11, accused of involvement in a money laundering scheme linked to a municipality recruitment scam. Despite Bose's appeal against the arrest, the court saw no grounds for immediate relief and instructed the ED to present the report after the court's summer break, with no specific date set for further proceedings.
