The Director General of the Central Industrial Security Force, Praveer Ranjan, conducted a comprehensive review of security measures across CISF's North and Airport sectors in Chandigarh on Friday. The assessment focused on improving preparedness for evolving threats and enhancing the force's operational response.
The meeting with senior officers addressed vital areas such as drone threat management, anti-sabotage strategies, and disaster readiness. The CISF has initiated a collaborative 'Counter-Drone Training Programme' with the Indian Army to effectively counter low-altitude aerial threats, equipping personnel with essential skills to detect and neutralize hostile activities.
In collaboration with the Indian Army and other agencies, the CISF is enhancing its capabilities through joint training initiatives. These efforts include counter-terrorism and quick reaction training, aiming to fortify the force's tactical responses. Training programmes with the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) further support emergency readiness.
Within airport sectors, the CISF has prioritized technological and operational advancements to strengthen security. Initiatives like Digi Yatra, Aadhaar Validation for seamless verification, and centralized systems for monitoring staff movement and preventing unauthorized access reinforce the security framework at commercial airports, ensuring high standards of safety and efficiency.
Ranjan commended the CISF personnel for their dedication and professionalism, underscoring the essential role of continuous training, technology integration, and effective inter-agency coordination in addressing modern security challenges. He reaffirmed the force's commitment to safeguarding India's infrastructure and maintaining public safety.
