In Nuh's Nai village, a disagreement over a social media post erupted into violence, leaving more than seven people injured, including two women. The conflict stemmed from tensions between two families arguing over Facebook content, which resulted in rooftop stone-pelting that lasted around 20 minutes.
The police, alerted by villagers, promptly arrived at the scene to contain the violence and restore order. They deployed additional forces to ensure peace as tensions remained high. The injured were taken to nearby hospitals as villagers recounted the dispute centering on abusive language in the post. It escalated further after children from the families clashed.
A police spokesperson stated that although the situation has calmed and peace has been restored, the investigation into this disturbance is ongoing, with complaints filed and further action planned. The village chief highlighted the rapid scaling of the argument which initially involved sticks and eventually led to stone-pelting, spreading panic throughout the village.
