The Guruvayur Devaswom Board has unveiled plans to trial an online virtual queue system at the Sree Krishna Temple, aiming to streamline the darshan process for devotees. The system is expected to ease current challenges faced by temple visitors, as explained by board chairman A V Gopinath.
In compliance with a directive from the Kerala High Court, the virtual queue will be operational on a trial basis, enabling devotees to better manage their time at the temple. The board is also exploring the introduction of a facial recognition app to further enhance the experience. Updates include the computerisation of the accounts department and improvements to on-site amenities such as storage and drinking water facilities.
