Amritsar Embraces E-Challan System for Traffic Management
Amritsar has joined SAS Nagar, Jalandhar, and Ludhiana in implementing the automated e-challan system, enhancing traffic management in Punjab. DGP Gaurav Yadav announced the initiative and inaugurated a new police station. The advancements aim to improve traffic enforcement and public safety.

Amritsar is now the fourth city in Punjab to adopt the automated e-challan system, enhancing traffic enforcement across its streets. This development was confirmed by Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav during his recent visit to the city.
Joining the ranks of SAS Nagar, Jalandhar, and Ludhiana, the initiative aims to foster transparency, efficiency, and improved safety on Amritsar's roads. During his visit, Yadav also inaugurated a new Police Station in Mohkampura, built under the Smart City Project. This facility is designed to provide better services for the police force and the public.
Yadav emphasized this new infrastructure as pivotal for improving public service delivery and policing in the city. The DGP, along with senior police officials, also conducted a review meeting on crime trends and strategies for enhanced security. The day concluded with a 'Bada Khana' event to strengthen bonds within the police force.
