Rajasthan Takes Firm Action Against Corrupt Officials

In a determined effort to combat corruption, the Rajasthan government has taken decisive actions, firing 20 officials and suspending 332 as part of its stringent anti-corruption campaign. Additionally, the pensions of 17 retired personnel have been revoked.

Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has reinforced his stance that public service duties must not be compromised for corruption or negligence. This initiative appears to bolster accountability and ensure transparent governance within the state.

The dismissals include a Rajasthan Administrative Service officer and several members from key departments such as medical, education, mining, and public works. Over a hundred cases have received prosecution sanctions, with several hundred more under investigation.

The crackdown extends to retired officials, with actions taken to withhold pensions in multiple corruption-related cases, indicating a continued commitment to addressing misconduct even post-retirement.

With ongoing investigations in 577 cases, the chief minister confirmed that officials unable to fulfill their duties with integrity will face severe repercussions, ensuring a clean and accountable administrative environment.
