Ukraine launched an attack on the area surrounding the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant on Friday, resulting in injuries to three individuals, according to Alexei Likhachev, head of the Russian state nuclear corporation, as reported by Interfax news agency.
The International Atomic Energy Agency announced it has brokered a temporary local ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia. This marks the sixth such ceasefire since late last year, permitting essential repairs to a power supply line serving Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia plant.
The ceasefire aims to ensure the safety and functionality of the nuclear plant while tensions between the two nations continue to escalate.
