G7 leaders said on Wednesday ‌that they would strengthen investigations to freeze and ‌seize assets, including virtual assets, in a bid to target organised crime networks.

"We ‌commit to disrupt the economic ‌infrastructure enabling these illegal activities by strengthening financial investigations to trace, freeze, seize and confiscate associated proceeds and assets, including virtual assets," they said in a statement.

Separately, they also said they would create a ports network to combat drug trafficking and would task relevant ministers to develop an action plan by November 2026 against the infiltration of public and private institutions by drug trafficking networks and organised criminal networks.
