The Department of Financial Services (DFS) has secured two top-10 positions in the latest Centralized Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS) rankings, reflecting its continued focus on improving public service and resolving complaints more efficiently.

The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) released the CPGRAMS monthly report for June 2026, highlighting the performance of ministries and departments in handling public grievances across the country.

Insurance and Banking Divisions Earn Top Rankings

According to the report, the DFS Insurance Division secured the third position, while the Banking Division ranked sixth among government departments. The Department has also maintained a place among the top 10 in the Grievance Redressal Assessment and Index (GRAI) rankings since November 2025, showing consistent performance over several months. The rankings reflect the Department's efforts to improve complaint resolution while ensuring that citizens receive timely responses to their concerns.

More Than 30,000 Grievances Resolved in June

During June 2026, the Department of Financial Services disposed of more than 30,000 public grievances. Senior officials also continued to personally review randomly selected cases on a regular basis to monitor the quality of grievance handling and identify areas for improvement. Regular oversight has become an important part of the Department's approach to making the grievance redressal system more transparent and accountable.

Focus on Better Public Service

The Department has also been organising workshops on effective grievance redressal to strengthen complaint management across the banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) sector. These programmes encourage the adoption of best practices, improve coordination among stakeholders and promote the use of technology to deliver faster and more customer-focused services.

The Ministry said the latest achievement reflects the Department's sustained commitment to responsive public service through continuous monitoring, regular performance reviews and close coordination with financial institutions. These efforts are aimed at improving the quality of grievance resolution while building greater public confidence in government services.
