The trend of hair colouring, once reserved for covering greys or basic grooming, is now a vibrant form of self-expression among young Indians. As highlighted by Shailesh Moolya, National Technical Head at Godrej Professional, choosing the perfect hue and maintaining it well is paramount to achieving desired outcomes.
Speaking at the launch of Godrej Professional's Vybe Collection in Delhi, Moolya emphasized the need for a professional touch in hair colouring. He noted that while Gen Z is bold and experimental, personal consultations are crucial, as blind replication of international trends often doesn't align with Indian skin tones.
Moolya also dispelled common myths about DIY haircare, stating that traditional methods, like certain homemade remedies, lack the technological backing for effective results. Instead, he suggests focusing on nourishment both through professional aftercare products and a balanced diet for long-term hair health.
