Unaccounted foreign currencies

worth about Rs 39 lakh were recovered from a passenger at the

international airport here, CISF officials said Thursday.

During the screening of baggages late Wednesday night,

the CISF personnel detected currencies of three gulf countries

including the UAE dirhams from the passenger, who was

scheduled to fly to Dubai, the officials said adding the total

value of the currencies was Rs 38.73 lakh.

The passenger could not produce any valid documents, the

CISF officials said.

The man along with the currencies was handed over to

Customs officials, they added.
