Posters, suspected to be put up by Maoists, surfaced on Monday near Attappady, one of the largest and most backward tribal hamlets in Kerala. The two posters were found pasted on a wayside building at Puthur near the hamlet, police said. Written in Malayalam, the posters could be read as "check fascism... check foreign capital forces and strengthen secular democratic movements," police said.
Nobody had seen who had pasted it but the content of the posters indicated to the suspected Maoists, a police official said. No case has been registered so far, the official added.
