Delhi Eases Regularisation for Small Residential Properties

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi has eliminated the need for physical inspections for the regularisation of small residential buildings, streamlining the process and enhancing revenue collection.

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi has announced a significant adjustment to its policies concerning the regularisation of residential buildings up to 105 square metres. This change eliminates the requirement for a physical inspection, aiming to simplify the procedure.

Instead of an engineer's inspection, property owners can now submit an undertaking certified by an authorised architect along with a fee, entirely online. According to the MCD, this move will not only reduce procedural inefficiencies but also increase municipal revenue. "We aim to make civic services more citizen-friendly," said Pravesh Wahi, the Delhi Mayor.
