Rama Rao says Telangana is ahead of country in development schemes

TRS working president K T Rama Rao Friday claimed that the whole nation was following Telangana in announcing and implementing various developmental schemes and welfare measures. Speaking at a party meeting at Medak, he said various surveys have indicated that both the NDA and the UPA would not be able to form the government on their own after the coming Parliament elections.
"During the earlier days, they used to say what Bengal thinks today, India will think tomorrow. Today the administration in Telangana has become a guideline for other states such that what Telangana does today, India will do tomorrow," he said. Rao, son of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, referred to some schemes the state has implemented and claimed they were being followed in some other states and at the Centre as well.
He said every single Lok Sabha seat would play a crucial role in the formation of the next government at the Centre as both the NDA and UPA were not likely to get a majority. He further said surveys conducted by various media houses have shown that the Narendra Modi-led NDA government would not be able to get more than 150 or 160 seats.
"The Rahul Gandhi-led UPA is worse than that. They (UPA) will not cross 100 to 110 seats. Even if both the NDA and UPA join together, they will not be able to form the government," he said. So under the circumstances, every single Lok Sabha seat and number are important," he said.
The Telangana Chief Minister has been advocating a 'non-BJP, non-Congress' federal front at the Centre, alleging that both the parties have failed to meet the people's aspirations and in leading the nation to prosperity. Rao urged the party cadres to work towards winning 16 Lok of the 17 Sabha seats in the state. The TRS has declared Asaduddin Owaisi-led AIMIM as a friendly party.
