Officials recieve over 3.5 lakh applications of voter enrollment from Jharkhand

A total of 3.75 lakh people have applied to get enrolled as voters of Jharkhand following a special drive ahead of the four-phase Lok Sabha elections for 14 seats beginning April 29. Currently, the total number of electorate in the state are 2,19,81,479.
Chief Electoral Officer L Khiangte has asked the officials to complete the work regarding these applications for enrolment within a time frame, a release said here. The special drive was carried out on March 29.
Jharkhand is going for four-phase elections on April 29, May 6, 12 and 19.
